Multi-tasking Weekend

Have you ever read a book that was so good you couldn't put it down?
And when you did put it down, you could not stop thinking about it..You had this need to get back to reading, because the story was going to go on without you.
Ha, that was my weekend. I started a new book saga.
The "Twilight" Saga
by: Stephenie Meyer

I usually don't read when my hubby is home, because he kind of feels a little left out. I can get so engrossed in a book, that the house can be burning down around me, and I wouldn't even know it. Well ok, it's not that bad, but he does complain when he's hungry. So ok..we do need to eat.
I'm also trying to get some crochet projects done...While the "Football" game is on I would do a little reading until my eyes started to burn, then I would pick up my crochet project til my hands started to hurt.(I need to check into some audio books) Check my blog and emails. Take my book to the kitchen and cook a meal for hubby...try not to burn the food while I'm reading. lol

We did go to a haunted Apple Orchard Saturday. They took us up to the woods in a hay wagon, and dropped us off. We had to walk the trails in the dark...it was fun, but not very scary. The whole time I was thinking how I wanted to come back and hike the woods in the daytime.

I finished book 1 Sunday night, and ran out to Wally World today to get book 2 (New Moon) I haven't even started it yet..I figured I better get some house work done first, then get a start on it before I go to work.

Hi Linda, that's how it used to be for me with books, before I got sick and all. I've started reading again but not as voraciously as in the past. Sounds like a nice weekend you had. Ta ta and have a great week!

Sounds like you had a fun weekend. I bet the trees are turning beautifully in Ohio. I used to read books like that but I have too many school books to read now.
Hugs. Lisa

Hi Linda,

I haven't read Twilight yet, but friends who have read it are raving about it. My friend, Jan, who is reading it now, said she'd pass it on to me when she is done.

Oh, my woods are scary at night! One might just step on a copperhead, while walking in the dark.

The weather here has been perfect as well. Today, it is rainy, but still 78 and nice.

Have a great rest of the week!

Hugs,

Renie

Hey Renie....I hope you get a chance to read it..So far there are 4 books in this series, and I heard there might be a 5th.

I don't know why, but I have this thing for Vampires. I have read many Vampire/Werewolf books.

Have a Great Day...

I would love to hike through your woods. lol

Hello Lisa,

I give it until the weekend for the tree's to be in full color!
We might be getting some rain today. I think that helps change them too!
