I've caught a Cold

Yep, I've went and caught a cold....
I didn't want to catch one. It's not like I went out looking for one to catch...(does anyone?)
It's more like it caught me! I tried to hide from it...I seen it lurking in the corners..(co-worker had one)..did everything I could to keep it away, but when I woke up yesterday it had it's cold fingers wrapped all around me..Ugh!

So, now I sit here with a sore throat, drippy nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. (and no Kleenex)
I advise all blog readers to wipe your keyboard with disinfection, because I don't want to spread it to you! LOL
Have a Great day!
Hugs!
What Can You Do to Prevent a Cold?

Colds are extremely difficult to prevent entirely. The following suggestions may help:

Avoid close contact with people who have a cold, especially during the first few days when they are most likely to spread the infection.

Wash hands after touching someone who has a cold, after touching an object they have touched, and after blowing ones nose. If a child has a cold, wash his or her toys after play.

Keep fingers away from ones nose and eyes to avoid infecting oneself with cold virus particles that may have been picked up.

Put up a second hand towel in the bathroom for healthy people to use.

Keep an eye on the humidity of one's environment so that sinuses do not dry out.

Do not inflict one's cold on others! Cover ones nose and mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing, then throw the tissue away and wash hands. Also, stay away from people who are most vulnerable, including anyone who has asthma or another chronic lung disease, or at least try to limit close contact.

Until recently, it was thought that a single vaccine could not be developed for the different cold viruses. New research approaches may enable the development of a single vaccine for most types of colds.

Aww, poor LindA! 'Tis the season for colds and other cold weather bugs.

Good tips on avoiding colds, and wouldn't it be great if they did develop a vaccine for the cold? I hope it becomes a reality soon.

Take good care, drink lots of hot fluids, and zinc lozenges are very helpful in getting rid of it faster, as well.

Hugs, (from a distance, hehe)

Thank you Renie.
I had a real bad night with this cold...even called off work today!

I wish they would come out with a shot...I get the flu shot every year, but they do need something for colds.

Thanks for the Hug...even from a distance. It's the thought that counts!

Oh, get well soon, Linda.
By the way, where in Ohio are you? I used to have a friend in Defiance, so sad that she died , even before I came here in US.
