Another year older....My Birthday fell on a Wednesday this year, and for the first time in years I didn't take a day off of work for "My Day".
It just felt like another ordinary day.
My Hubby bought me my favorite cake (Pepperidge Farm Vanilla Bean)
When I got to work there was about 10 different "Happy Birthday Linda" over the loud speaker from people trying to embarrass me through out the day.
(Thanks guys!) lol
We plan on doing some hiking this weekend (weather permitting) to kind of celebrate "My Day". and we also need to eat my cake.
Why is it that some years it just feels like "just another Day"?
Maybe it's the day of the week it falls on. Maybe it's just getting older.
Maybe next year I'll feel more excited about it.
Oh...I just re-read this post, and it kind of sounds like a pity party for me...that is not how I wanted this post to sound...lol
I haven't been sleeping well....I'll write it off as sleep deprived or Pre-menopause.

Happy belated birthday. Most years, my birthday just feels like any other day. Maybe we look at it wrong. Instead of feeling burdened by being older, I guess we should feel grateful and thankful that we have made it to another birthday. Because, in the end, we want to be older, and older, and older, right? That means we get a long life, and that sounds good to me!

Oh dear, I missed your birthday, too. Happy, happy, happy! I am thankful for your friendship. You are a truly NICE person and I'm enjoying our online friendship. So, though you did not have a SPECIAL day, you are a SPECIAL person in my book!! (I kind of felt like Mother's Day was just another day although I did have some lovely moments. Oh, I am very Thankful for every day that the Lord gives me, and I don't mind getting older.
I guess it was just being alone...Hubby works a different shift, and we just see each other in passing. We will make it up this weekend for sure..lol
