18 years

18 years with the same man!   Well, actually we have been together 21 yrs. and married for 18.
I tease my hubby about how I should be getting some kind of an Award for all that I have put up with over the years...lol
And, his words to me were.. "Suck it" lol

Me: ah, I'm feelin the Love..
Hubby: You know I love you!
Me: Yeah, I know!

I told Hubby that it is just you and I now....The kids are grown, and have their own lives.
We just have each other, so we might as well make the most of it!
It's great when you can find someone that not only is your spouse, but also your best friend!
When you can enjoy each other, and even drive each other crazy at times. Makes life more interesting when you know you can share it with someone you like.

So now we off to Texas Roadhouse for a Steak dinner...yummm

Life goes on....

When you lose a family pet, it is sadly a part of life, and sometimes not easy.
But, life goes on..time helps heal...Bluh, bluh, bluh!

Eventually, I will get another pet, because pets are Therapeutic!  We need their unconditional Love that they give so freely.

Lazy Sunday's

Just another Sunday.....Sometimes it seems like the days just drag together...The drab days of winter.  (is drab even a word?)
I really don't care to do much in the winter anymore...at least not outside.  I hate the cold.. My body hates the cold..but I think that's an age thing huh? I really don't know too many older people that still like to play in the snow.
I love to ski, and snowmobile, and will do it if only the sun is out and the temp. is up to 30-ish.

Every year the hubs and I say we need to get out and build a snowman like we use to (when the boys were little)..or a really cool snow fort..we always make plans, but it just never gets done anymore. 

We do try and do activities throughout the day...like meeting in the bedroom for quickie.  A game of cards...dancing around to the radio...

Sunday Morning Tradition

Every Sunday the guys (Gary & Donny) come over for coffee, and Golf..(Tiger Woods golf on the Wii that is...) They sit around chatting about football, Nascar and work.
These guys have worked, and played together for years!
We joke that they are "joined at the hip".
Now, my son has joined in on the activities.

When my hubby and I first got together, I thought..Geez, why do they have to come over so early?  I also work with these guys, and didn't want them all seeing me at my morning worst!  I would get up a little early to at least look presentable.
That lasted about a month... lol

It's nice to have a group of friends that are just like family....
We plan a lot of events with our friends in mind..
I even bring my friend (Vicki - wife to Gary) to my real family events when the hubby is doing something else.   Shhh... Don't tell hubby, but sometimes I have more fun with Vic, than with hubby...He's always ready to go after an hour.

Over all...we have friends and Family in and out of our home all the time.

And, we Love it!

I think we all need Play days...So get out there before it get's too cold, and just PLAY!

29 years ago, at the young age of 17, I gave birth to a Baby Boy.

Being so young at the time, I had to grow up real fast...My life changed, and my dreams put on hold. But, I wouldn't change a thing!

Up date on my Son

My Son is an adrenalin Junkie....
He wore the neck Brace for about 10 weeks....He was out Bow Hunting week 8.
His ribs and Lung is really doing Great....His neck is still a little tender. Or maybe he's just a little more cautious with it. (I would think so)

He, and 5 of his Buddies just got back from Michigan...Snowmobiling trip. I begged him to wear a brace under his helmet....not going to happen Mom!

All in all...He was one lucky guy! and, I have to Thank GOD!
I also want to Thank all my Friends and Family that sent up Prayers on his behalf.

It's a TERRIBLE feeling when you can't fix our Children when their hurting!

So okay....I had a rough week with my Son being in the hospital and all...but it was not as bad as it could of been.

I have to Thank my wonderful Family & Friends for stopping everything that they were doing when I called them about Bo's bad Quad wreck, and sending out Prayer Request. We have a big Prayer Chain.

After totally freaking out, I had a Calm Peace come over me, even though my son was in ICU, I just knew that he was going to be okay! I knew that everyone was Praying for him/us. I just left all the stress, and care 0f my Son in Gods hands.

He was home in 4 days. He has a long road of recovery, but I think he will be fine.

Thank You Jesus!

Here I am

It's me....I'm back! I bet you were wondering where the heck I've been?
Oh...here and there.
Playing Yoville on Facebook...it's very addicting!

I have also been busy with my Son....He gave us quite the scare last Sunday.
He was racing his Quad, lost control in a turn...they had to Care-Flight him.
He broke his neck (2nd Vertibre) his Shoulder, 3 ribs, collapsed left lung, small hemorrhage on his brain.
Spent a day and 1/2 in ICU..2 days in a trauma room. He is now Home, and doing good! He will have a long slow road to recovery, but he is a lucky guy!
God was watching over him that day! (Thank you God!)

Hubby said he saw me age 5 years over the past few days!
I think I could actually feel gray hairs popping up all over my head. lol

So, now we are all just kicking back this weekend...trying to catch up on sleep, and settle my nerves!

Yep, that's my wild man (my son. hubby standing) on his Quad at his last race...He won the first heat, but his quad would not start for the final....Boy, was he mad!
If you look close you can see his Mohock on his helmet.
I have a video, but it came in sideways....Grrrr

Lazy Summer Days..and Weddings

Okay, so I haven't been here for a couple of days...you can just call it..Laziness!
I have been keeping busy with Painting the shed, moving ferns, Hubby painting the trim of the house... crafts, work...even got some hiking, and Canoeing in.

We also had a Wedding...My hubby's Son got Married last Saturday.
Hubby got to walk Bre down the isle..or path, because her Parents could not make it.
Hubby was Honored to do it for them.


I think that everyone in the wedding party is in the Military.
I was hoping Alec would at least be in Uniform.

28 Years Ago.....

28 Years ago today I became a Mother for the first (and last) time. At the young age of 17. Yeah I know, way too young, but unfortunately it happens.

But, I can tell you that even without any kind of pain meds. giving births was the most memorable event in my life.

I became a single mother at the age of 21. Wow, yeah I know!
It was a rough, and rocky road for me and my little man, but all in all we both turned out okay. lol

Over the years my little Man grew up loving extreme sports....That's when I started noticing Grey hair's popping up here and there on my head.
Let's see... he started out with a Bicycle, then on to a BMX Bicycle, Skate Boarding, Snow Boarding, Snow mobile, Dirt Bike racing, Quad racing...etc....
This was one of his first toys the he bought that really made me nervous!







A Proud moment for any Parent!

I am so proud of my Baby...and I don't care how old he is, he will always be my Baby!

New Adventure

The hubby and I have picked up a new sport...Frisbee Golf.
I use to throw the Frisbee pretty good with my friends, but the Frisbee or Disk is a little different for this game...
Our town has made a course in one of our parks...Tree's everywhere!
A lot of fun. I'll take my camera the next time!
