Quit your whining!

Does it seem that good things always fall into some peoples lap?  Oh, you are happy for them, but inside your thinking..No fair.

Some of us work real hard at our low paying jobs.  Living pay check to pay check. When others at the same job are always getting some kind of Break.

How can a One income family with two kids still at home..2 cars, a new home do it?  
I often ask myself...What are we doing wrong?  It's just the two of us.
Oh, I know that we (Hubs and I) can put in some over-time to make a little more money, but the Hubs won't do over-time, (I've been there for 30+ yrs. I don't want to spend more than 8 hrs. in that shop..bluh bluh) so I kinda get an attitude, and think why should I be the only one busting my butt to get ahead?   Then I start thinking that if I do do over-time (I said dodo) that extra money is going into My savings account, not the joint checking where we put all our money for bills.

Several years ago I got myself a second job...Oh, it didn't pay much, but the money was mine...all mine I tell ya.  In a way I was still saving us money because I wasn't dipping into the checking account.
I had to eventually give up my little part-time job.  Getting only about 4 hrs. of sleep was waring me down.  I was becoming a "Safety Hazard". (just saying)

I know..you are thinking.. Quit your whining!   at least you have a job!  And yes, I am very Thankful!
So, I will quit whining, and think about doing some over-time. (working till 4am is just Ugh!)

Grumpy today

So....Christmas is over, and it's back to work for us..at least for the next 3 days, then we're off again!
I got my Nook, but I'm having trouble getting it registered.  I have done everything that I was suppose to do, but NOTHING!  Grrr
I'm getting frustrated, and grumpy!  I just want to be able to use the darn thing!


Now..we are trying to figure out what we want to do for New Years Eve.
 It seems like the hubby and I are always getting everyone (our friends) together to do anything.  And I mean anything..(canoeing, hiking, travel, parties..etc..)
We decided to not say anything to our friends about New Years Eve to see if they might have made plans for all of us this year.
And the waiting continues....
Oh, we all love to get together and party, it's just that we get tired of all the planning.  It's like they are all waiting to see what fun we have planned for them.
And, if it wasn't for us, these friends of ours would just let life go by without having any fun! 
Come on people..entertain us for once!


I do LOVE entertaining, but we have a small home...gets a little cramped.
I so want to find a bigger place to move to, but Hubby is busting my bubble..he's good at that!
I will get all excited about something, and he just puts that pin in, and bust all my dreams.  Dream Buster! lol


Well, that's about it for today...Sorry to be a little grumpy, but you'll have that!
